On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office arrested three individuals on drug trafficking charges. The arrested resulted from undercover drug investigations conducted by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives. Those arrested include Derrick Cottrell, 34; Melinda Starrett, 26; and Jospeh Estes, 34. Cottrell was additional served a Harlan County Child Support Warrant and Estes was served with a Harlan County District Court Bench Warrant. All subjects were lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
