An escapee from the Duffield Regional Jail in Virginia was apprehended on Sunday, June 10, 2018. The subject, identified as 54-year-old Samuel Penley, escaped while receiving medical treatment at the Lonesome Pine Hospital on June 8, 2018. He was located by the Bessemer City Police Department in North Carolina in possession of a stolen 2006 blue Dodge Caravan. Penley will be extradited back to Virginia to face charges for escape.
