Mingo County Teacher Arrested After Intoxicated Students Crash in Her Vehicle

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Rt 52 near Naugatuck around 11am. While investigating, officers found that two juvenile males were inside the vehicle. It was learned the males were students at Tug Valley High School and were driving the vehicle of a teacher, identified as Kandace Dick. It was discovered that Dick had provided the students with alcohol prior to allowing them to drive her car. On Thursday, January 17, 2019, around 2pm, Kandace Dick was arrested for two counts of child neglect resulting in injury and two counts of contributing to delinquency of a minor.
