Floyd County students competed in the 2019 State Student Technology Leadership Program competition at Rupp Arena on April 18, 2019. Allen Elementary took home the State Middle School Championship with their project Forget Me Not, which uses a device to remind parents their child is buckled in the car seat and sends alerts to their phones, notifying them of extreme temperature changes inside the vehicle. The Allen Elementary team will compete in the national competition in Philadelphia in June.
