Schools Receive Transportation Grants to Visit Kentucky State Parks

Students from nine Kentucky schools will be taking field trips to a Kentucky State Park thanks to a transportation grant from the Kentucky State Parks Foundation. The “Inside Out Education” Initiative allows schools to seek grants that enable students to learn about the environment, history or culture at a state park. Among the schools to receive a grant award are Leslie County High School visiting My Old Kentucky Home and Paintsville High School 9th grade visiting Carter Caves. The foundation has awarded 79 grants valued at $44,702 for trips that have benefited 5,574 students.
