Floyd County Schools has announced a change in the last day for students. The district has been approved for Emergency Days and has moved the last days to June 3 and June 4, 2019, with May 30 as the last day for Headstart and Preschool students. Schools that will release on June 3 are: Betsy Layne Elementary, Betsy Layne High School, Duff-Allen Central Elementary, Floyd Central High School, John M. Stumbo Elementary, May Valley Elementary, and South Floyd Elementary. Schools releasing on June 4 are: Adams Middle School, Allen Elementary, Prestonsburg Elementary, and Prestonsburg High School.
