In Prestonsburg, Law Enforcement and first responders departments received automated external defibrillators (AEDs). King’s Daughters Health System and King’s Daughters Health Foundation presented 25 AEDs to the departments.

AEDs are USED TO deliver an electrical shock to a person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and having this new medical equiptment will ensure reliability in case of emergencies where AEDs would be necessary.
