Chickenpox outbreak

The Kentucky Court of Appeals sides with state health officials regarding their power to ban a chickenpox-afflicted student from school, even at private institutions.

A chickenpox outbreak at Assumption Academy and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School in March encouraged state health officials to order unvaccinated students to stay HOME. 12th grader, Jerome Kunkel from Sacred Heart  came down with the virus in May and challenged the ban in court.
