Meryl (J.E.) Thornsbury, age 78, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  J.E. was born on Feb. 12, 1941 to his parents the late Kanawha Thornsbury and Draxie Blackburn Thornsbury.

Visitation will be Saturday at 12 noon at the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church.  Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 12 noon at the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church with David Bentley, Dalton Tackett, and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Yeager.
