Investigators in Floyd County arrested Stephen Moore on Tuesday after a shooting Monday night sent one man to the hospital and another to jail.

He faces charges of first-degree assault and being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.

Police found the victim, Tyler Ousley, at the Pikeville Medical Center with a gunshot to the back. He is expected to survive.

State police have said they do not yet know what led to the shooting.
