The Pikeville City Tourism office announced Thursday that playgrounds and tennis courts will reopen June 8.

The agency announced on its social media that both playgrounds and tennis courts have been closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Park visitors are highly encouraged to practice social distancing and remain at least 6 feet apart, as well as to practice frequent and thorough handwashing.
