James Carty, of Means, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was a 62 year old born in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the union of the late Chester and Helen Carpenter Carty, was an employee for Labor Union Local 189, and a member of the Christian faith.

His funeral will be 11:00 Tuesday at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Pastor Jess Brewer presiding, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery in Foraker in Magoffin County. Visitation is 6-8:00 Monday.
