Newspapers have reported that LaShana Harris has remained employed over six weeks after the Beshear Administration acknowledged she had been fired from Kentucky’s Juvenile Justice Commissioner.

The dismissal followed an investigation of alleged harassments and bullying in work environments.

In an email sent this week, Public Safety Cabinet Spokeswoman Morgan Hall says Harris is ‘currently’ employed with the Cabinet.

Harris is on paid leave and contends the dismissal action should not be imposed or modified due to her claiming she has been the subject of racism in the work place.
