A man and woman are now dead following the end of a reported kidnapping case out of Western Kentucky. State Troopers are calling it a murder-suicide.

 

Officials with the State Police were searching for 65-year-old Thomas Hungerford, who was said to have forcefully kidnapped 53-year-old Tammy Beechum, of Dover, TN. The kidnapping took place this past Wednesday morning in a parking lot of Beechum’s job.

 

The pair was supposedly spotted in an SUV going through the Lancaster area on Wednesday afternoon. A brief chase came to an end outside of the Advanced Auto Parts store located just outside of Stanford.

 

Troopers say that when they approached the SUV, they found both Hungerford and Beechum dead inside.

 

No one else is believed to be involved in the incident. State Troopers will be searching the SUV for any possible clues as to a motive.

 

State Troopers are asking for anyone who may have any information as to why this happened to give them a call.
