One man was found dead in Knott County early Thursday morning. Officials responded to a call claiming a car was in the ditch near the 7-mile-marker on Highway 899, in the Pippa Passes Community.

 

Officers discovered a man inside the car upon their arrival. He is said to have been unresponsive.

 

44-year-old Dennis Little was pronounced dead on the scene by the Knott County Coroner’s Office.

 

According to officials, Little is said to have experienced a medical emergency  prior to the crash. There were no signs of trauma and the toxicology results are currently pending.

 

This incident remains under investigation.
