The suspect of an early morning shooting is now in custody.

 

According to officials with the Stanton Police Department, 21-year-old Aaron Couch was taken into custody following a foot-chase with officers.

 

Police say the shooting happened inside of a car at the Pine Creek Apartments, in Stanton. The incident is said to have happened just before 3:00 AM on Wednesday. Couch allegedly shot a man and then drove off.

 

A woman living in the apartment complex says the shooting took place over a dispute concerning her car that got out of hand. She allegedly wanted her car back, but had no clue it would turn out this way.

 

Couch is facing additional minor charges such as criminal trespassing, menacing, fleeing or evading police, and attempted robbery.
