Kentucky State Police Officials are currently investigating a death involving a utility vehicle in Rowan County.

According to troopers, 80-year-old Eddie Thomas attempted to cross a flooded area on a UTV when it became stuck. According to officials, Thomas was swept away by the water.

He was later found, but died while at the hospital.
