
Officials with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.
The family of Rick Griffis says he hasn’t been seen or heard from since Monday, July 4th.
According to the sheriff’s office, Griffis also did not show up for work.
The man is said to have sent his family a text message on July 5th, claiming he was stuck in the woods. No other contact is said to have been made.
Griffis’ car was discovered in the Coopersville strip mine area of Wayne County on Wednesday. Members of the Wayne County Rescue Squad searched the area alongside family members.
