Troopers with Kentucky State Police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday night in McCreary County.

According to state police, the crash occurred on US 27 North near Strunk Ridge Road around 9:30 pm Thursday night.

Law enforcement officials said 30 year old Patrick J. Parriman of Whitley City was driving on US 27 in a black 2006 Toyota Tundra.

The truck operated by Parriman struck a pedestrian identified as 67 year old Crit H. Ford of Barbourville.

The McCreary County Coroner’s Office pronounced Ford dead on the scene.

Parriman was not injured.
