
The Kentucky Blood Center is partnering with Donate Life KY to host a blood drive on February 13th and 14th, at multiple locations throughout Kentucky.
Both organizations have said they hope to increase the blood supply that is critically needed and to help provide support to Kentucky transplant patients.
The Kentucky Blood Center serves over 70 hospitals in the commonwealth. Blood transfusions are used for everything from cancer treatments to premature births, surgeries, anemia, diseases, car accidents and more
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements.
