One Arrested, One Ran Away Following Trespassing Complaint In Whitley County

An update from the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department:

 

On 3-6-23, Deputy Jarrett Carr was dispatched to a trespassing complaint on KY 836 (Cripple Creek). Upon arrival at the complainant’s address, Deputy Carr observed a male subject flee who is a known person with active warrants. Another suspect was detained on the scene by Deputy Carr. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Carr located a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and other drugs on or around the subject who remained.

 

Edward ‘Oscar’ (BIG O) Veach, age 40 of Williamsburg, was arrested and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Trespassing, and Possession of other drugs.

 

Deputy Carr was assisted on scene by Major Tony Dingess, Lieutenant Dave Lassiter, Williamsburg PD SGT Elijah Hunter, K9 ‘Thor’, and Ofc. Bryson Lawson.

The subject who fled remains at large but criminal charges are pending for him as well.
