FLOYD COUNTY (July 14, 2023)The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists to avoid using the KY 680 construction area between Branhams Creek and Simpson Branch in Floyd County. Traffic is prohibited in this zone as it remains closed to the public. This area is an active work zone, with several construction activities being conducted simultaneously.

We ask that the general public adheres to the current closure to ensure safety for all; continued trespassing within this area could cause delays in the permanent opening of this corridor and legal action for those trespassing.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is working with the Kentucky State Police (KSP) to patrol the area to prevent safety hazards and keep trespassing motorists out of the construction zone.

Motorists should continue to use their regular routes until the road is officially open to traffic later this year.
