A former Pikeville psychiatrist has admitted to prescribing ADHD drugs without a legitimate medical purpose. In a signed plea agreement filed in his case ahead of his guilty plea hearing on Thursday, Jason Noah Stamper, 52, of Coal Run Village, admitted to prescribing Ritalin and Adderall to an undercover DEA agent on six occasions in 2022. In the agreement, Stamper pleads guilty to distributing amphetamine. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss three more counts of the same charge. Stamper faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced at a later date.
