Kentucky State Police (KSP) say two people were arrested after drugs were found during a traffic checkpoint in Magoffin County. The arrest happened on March 7 in Salyersville. KSP officials said, during the search, troopers found around 75 grams of suspected fentanyl, one pound of suspected marijuana, one ounce of suspected cocaine, a gun and other drugs. Armando Elizondo, 24, was arrested and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. He was charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking marijuana, gun possession by a convicted felon and other traffic violations.

Chad Wallen, 41, was arrested and taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. He was charged with trafficking fentanyl and drug possession.
