Officials with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) are investigating a deadly shooting.

Deputies said they received a call that a man was shot at 11 p.m. on Saturday in Perry County.

The shooting happened on KY-550, near the Knott-Perry County line. The man was identified as, Samuel Joseph Smith, 38, of Dwarf/Fisty, by the Perry County Coroner’s Office Sunday morning. He was taken to Hazard ARH, where he later died. Officials said they are looking for two male suspects who were on a blue ATV and reportedly fled the scene into Knott County.
