An Elkhorn City man is facing a charge of trafficking in methamphetamine after a recent incident.

According to an arrest citation written by Kentucky State Police Trooper Nathan Taylor, on April 19, he was dispatched to Pond Creek Road in Elkhorn City in response to a call reporting that Gregory Hill, 58, of Left Fork of Dry Fork, was passed out in a vehicle. Upon arrival, Taylor wrote, he found Hill and his passenger, Natasha Campbell, 35, of Douglas Parkway, Pikeville, passed out in the vehicle. Taylor wrote that he saw heroin in plain view in Campbell’s lap and there was a glass pipe in plain view in the vehicle. Both Hill and Campbell were arrested and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. Hill was charged with first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations. Campbell was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court.
