Kade Scott from Allen Central Middle placed 1^st in Arts & Humanities at the middle school State Governor’s Cup on Monday, March 13^th in Louisville. Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb said this was a historic achievement as Scott is believe to be the only middle school student in Floyd County Schools to have placed first at the state level in Governor’s Cup competition. Scott, an 8^th grade member of the Allen Central Middle School Academic Team, has advanced to state for three straight years and placed 8^th in 2016.
