Former Massey CEO Don Blankenship stands accused of neglecting safely warnings in favor of profit, which led to the deaths of 29 miners. After three days of deliberation the jury has still not been able to reach a verdict. According to WSAZ jurors have contacted the judge and asked how long they should deliberate, and mentioned that they are having trouble reaching a consensus. Blankenship’s defense team has motioned for a mistrial, but the judge quashed it. Deliberation will continue through today.
