The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a motorcycle theft that happened while the owner, Jordan Conn of Mud Creek was having appendix surgery.
“I come home and my locks were broken on my garage and my bike was gone,” recalled Conn. “A man is in such a bad shape and goes to the hospital then comes back and your stuff is stolen.”
His motorcycle is a red, 2007 Yamaha VStar Classic 650.
“It’s a classic. It was just a nice bike,” Conn pointed out. He believes more than one person may be involved because the bike was pulled across his lawn while in gear.
“It’s hard to replace anyway. I mean much less you know, you’re in the hospital and something bad happens and people come steal your things,” Conn said.
“Don’t let anybody know what you have. If they know that it’s there and they can possibly get to it if you’re not home, be more secure about things. Don’t let people know that you’re leaving home,” explained Conn warning others about the dangers of posting on social media.
Conn is offering a $400 reward for anyone with information leading to his motorcycle.
