One man is behind bars in Floyd County in connection to a shooting.

It happened late on the night of Sunday the 22nd at a home where his ex-wife was.

Kentucky State Police say he went there to pick her up. While there, police say Timothy Cunningham threatened a man and then got into a fight with the man.

During the altercation, investigators say Cunningham shot the man in the head.

The victim survived and was flown to Pikeville Medical Center.

Cunningham faces assault and wanton endangerment charges.
