Floyd Co. woman is arrested on numerous charges

UPDATE***

Officials discovered lithium batteries, Drano, and lighter fluid in the possession of Rena Hall-Thompson. The ingredients listed here are commonly known to assist in the manufacturing of crystal meth. Officials also obtained evidence that Rena Hall-Thompson was not only making said substances, but distributing the crystal meth, as well as other illegal narcotics out of her home. She has officially been charged with

  • Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1RST Offense.
  • Endangering the welfare of a minor
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1rst Degree

What began as a child endangerment call ended in an arrest. Officials were called to what they initially believed was a complaint regarding the maltreatment of a minor, but when they arrived they found Rena Hall-Thompson to be in the possession of, what deputies believe to be crushed pills, drug paraphernalia, straws with white powdered white residue in addition to a predecessor to manufacture crystal meth. She’s looking at charges of making methamphetamine, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking a controlled substance.
