When Glory Purvis broke up with her boyfriend Travis Phillips, he pulled a knife, chocked her, and cut himself with it as they were driving alone 1-64. Off Duty State Trooper Jeff McWhorter was on his way back from training, noticed something was wrong, and pulled behind the SUV, He got out of the car and approached the vehicle, and observed Phillips on top of Purvis chocking her, she was unconscious but started awakening when she heard McWhorter confronting her ex. Phillips refused to drop the knife, Then Trooper Mcwhorter used his taser, and took Phillips into custody. Phillips is facing numerous charges.
