Today, June 28th, KY 979 will be closed at mile point 4.83 between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. for replacement of a cross drain. The site is between Moore Fork Road and Buckhorn Road. A cross drain replacement involves sawing through the pavement across both lanes, removing the old drain, then installing a new drain, filling in the trench, and repaving the cut area. Traffic cannot get through the site while the work is under way.
