A Martin County girl has lost her home to a fire on her birthday, reports WYMT. Robert Runyon woke up in a smoke filled room after his children had been dropped off at school. The wall was said to be on fire, and Runyon grabbed a few of his daughters’ clothes, the dog, and his wife before exiting the home. Everything else inside the home was destroyed. He and his wife said the worst part was having to tell their daughter they lost their home on her birthday. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
