Martin County School District Superintendent Steps Down

Martin County School District Superintendent Steven Meadows is stepping down after two years of service. Meadows’ resignation was accepted yesterday in a meeting of the Board of Education. Meadows’ tenure began in July 2013. Not many details have been released about his decision, but many said the announcement comes as surprise. Meadows was granted a paid leave of absence that begins today and runs through his formal departure on August 31st. The school board will likely hold another meeting later this week to begin the search for an interim superintendent.
