A young man with high aspirations had a dream come true yesterday. Trenton Morris has made no bones about it; he wants to be a police officer when he grows up. While he has the dream, his mother fears that his failing vision will keep him from achieving it. Yesterday officers of the Pikeville Police, Kentucky State Police, the Pike County Sheriff, and Vehicle Enforcement swore Trenton in as an officer for a few hours. Trenton was able to participate in a ride along, make a traffic stop, call for backup, and make his first arrest. The criminal he brought to justice, was none other than Pike County Sheriff Rodney Scott.
