After her unsuccessful bid to unseat Senator Mitch McConnell Kentucky’s secretary of State Alison Lundergan-Grimes was able to hold onto her office. Grimes ran what could be considered a low key campaign for re-election against the Erlanger Councilman Steve Knipper. When the dust had settles Grimes was able to pull a 20-thousand vote lead over Knipper, or just over 3 percent, according to the unofficial results.
