Conn Without Malpractice Insurance

According to the Floyd County Chronicle, Eric C. Conn’s attorney filed a notice of compliance after an August 19th court order to be updated on the status of Conn’s malpractice insurance. Conn’s assets were unfrozen based on incorrect information that Conn had valid malpractice insurance. Conn’s attorney Scott White had contacted his client’s prior attorneys regarding the coverage with Lawyers’ Mutual Insurance Company and United States Fire Insurance. Claims on these policies were made on June 5, 2015, with both companies denying the claims later that month. In attached letters, it was found that that both carriers had rescinded coverage as early as 2013.
