On December 14, around 3:20pm, Knox County Deputies Sidney Wagner and Chad Wagner responded to a report of a two vehicle injury traffic crash on KY 3439 near Stephen Trace. A 2001 Dodge van was attempting to pass a school bus off-loading children when they collided with 2005 GMC pickup truck on the driver’s side. The driver of the van, 31-year-old Shasta Dunn, fled the scene and was reported later to have nearly a tow truck head-on. She was found with her four children inside a residence at Bimble. A purse belonging to Dunn was recovered near a building containing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Shasta Dunn was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, as well as several other drug related and traffic related charges.
