James “Jim” Burkett, age 74 of Paintsville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his residence.

     Born January 18, 1946 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late James Burkett and Loretta (Fairchild) Burkett.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Little Paint First Church of God with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Friends may visit the Phelps & Son Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 9:00pm Friday and after 12:00pm Saturday at the church. Jeff White will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Little Paint First Church of God or the Lowmansville First Church of God by contacting the Phelps & Son Funeral Home, (606)789-8989.
