A woman out of Martin County is now in jail following a traffic stop.

A deputy sheriff pulled over 30-year-old Danese Crum, of Inez, after noticing that her license plate was not illuminated.

As she was retrieving her license, proof of insurance, and registration, the officer noticed some pills sitting in the cup holder. Crum claimed that these pills were Tylenol and allegedly agreed to a search of her vehicle.

The deputy discovered two firearms, more than three-quarters of an ounce of marijuana, and a bag of meth which had been hid under the spare tire. Crum claimed to have no knowledge of the meth and told the officer that it did not belong to her.

The officer weighed the bag and found it to be around 23 gram. Crum then reportedly told the officer that “It should weigh about 27 grams.”

She was then arrested and charged with trafficking in meth and marijuana, alongside other charges.
