Today Attorney General Andy Beshear presented Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK) with $42,000 to help the program continue to combat child sexual abuse in Kentucky. Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky was established in 1987 and is the only statewide nonprofit organization committed to preventing the abuse and neglect of Kentucky’s children. Beshear said it was a great honor to provide funding in support of the organization and that they strengthen communities and families through their advocacy. This year, the Attorney General’s office has awarded nearly $160,000 in grants to PCAK and four other statewide programs aimed at teaching parents how to discuss child sexual abuse with children and how to keep children safe on the internet.
